Development education
Development Education is another pillar of Don Bosco Network, in which member organisations that develop programmes of Global Citizenship and Awareness Raising. Their work is to foster solidarity among young people in their respective countries and encouraging them to change the societies in which their live and the global South whenever possible.
Working group
The purpose of Development Education Working Group is sharing the organisations campaigns and educational materials on a regular basis and to create joint initiatives among two or more network members.

This partnership with 6 organisations aims to increase the civic engagement and participation of young people in development work, understanding the SDGs and EU development policies. To do so we create new non-formal activities which will help young people and youth workers to start participation actions at local level.

Youth 4 Change

Youth 4 Change is a two-year intercultural exchange program in which young people from Belgium and a partner country work towards positive change in their school environment – and exchange ideas about it.

Climate Parcours

Pupils in Swisstal Germany explore, what they can do for more climate justice in the Clima-Parcours. Using playful methods, pupils are taught the basics of eco-conscious action and at the same time shown how they can campaign for more justice in climate issues. Germany is responsible for a large proportion of CO2 emissions, but is far less affected by the consequences of climate change than India or North Africa, for example.

German Indian Climate camp

Through direct exchange during the camp, young people from Germany and India experienced the global and social dimension of climate change and develop empathy for the other side. In five days of intensive exchange, the participants developed a shared vision of the future and returned to their classes and communities as climate ambassadors, to start small projects for more climate justice and thus become agents of change.

La Guerra è una follia

Conflicts that generate emergency situations and contribute to increasing the number of people, especially women and minors, who through no fault of their own find themselves living in situations of vulnerability and danger. VIS is committed, in the countries where it is present, to responding to these emergencies and providing support to the population.
