Development Cooperation

Development Cooperation is the main activity of Don Bosco Network and its member organisations. Fostering development in a Salesian way and supporting Don Bosco Movement in developing countries in their mission of education, social inclusion and integral human development of children and young people especially those in need.

Working group

Development Cooperation Working Group is the main space of cooperation for its members to exchange information about projects carried by each member organisation, coordinate emergency and humanitarian interventions and develop new initiatives of capacity building of our local partners. Our objective is to be as effective as possible in the countries where we operate.

Regional Working groups

To coordinate and maximize efforts by region in August 2022, four Regional Working Groups were created, to foster the exchange of project managers accompanying different projects in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe and Middle East.

Regional Working Group meet on a quarterly basis and are coordinated by one project officer of Don Bosco Mondo.

PDO Capacity Building

Planning and Development Offices are the local partner in the southern countries for DBN members. Salesians are organised in Provinces, that do have at regional or national level, professional offices to support the work at local level.

As DBN we need strong local partners in order to ensure the proper running of the programmes run by our members, therefore several capacity building programmes are organised to ensure that local partners are able to take over the responsibilities of each project.
